Frequently Asked Questions
Q – I have water on the inside of my windows, does that mean I have to replace them?
A – Water on the inside of your windows is condensation and is caused by excessive moisture in your home. This often occurs in the winter months when the internal humid air in your home comes into contact with the cold surface of your windows. Condensation can also occur when air is trapped behind curtains or blinds. To control condensation on your windows try leaving your curtains and blinds open to allow air flow and/or reduce the humidity in your home. We suggest consulting with your HVAC Specialist.
Q – Why do my windows have moisture or fogginess between the panes of glass?
A – Condensation or fogginess between the panes of glass in a window is called a seal failure. A seal failure is caused when the edge seal that secures the individual panes of glass have been punctured or compromised in some way, allowing humid air to enter the cavity.
Q – If my window has a seal failure, do I have to replace the whole unit?
A – No, we can measure the sealed unit (glass portion of the window) and replace it with a new one.
Q – Do you offer a warranty on your windows and doors?
A – Yes we offer a warranty.
Q – How do I get an estimate done?
A – You can call the Sturgeon Falls or North Bay Office or send us a detailed email. We will set up an appointment to meet you on site where we will need to measure the inside as well as the outside dimensions of your windows and/or doors. We will show you what options are available to you. We will then prepare your estimate and contact you when it’s ready.
